CARRIE-d AWAY!!!!

Ms. Carrie Bradshaw

Who could ever forget Carrie? I never started watching SATC until they started airing it on TBS, so I was pretty much late with all the craze.  But ever since then, I have fallen in love with Carrie and the girls.  The main reason is purely because of the style in the show.  Each character has her own unique style and all very perfect, but my favorite of them is Carrie’s style.  I love that she is not afraid to play around with fashion.  She can literally wear anything and look amazing.  She is the kind of girl that dresses for herself and does not care what anyone will think of her.  But then again, anything you wear with Louboutins will look great.  So for this post I would like to dedicate this to my favorite style guru, Ms Carrie Bradshaw.

**I summed up the top 4 of my favorite outfits from the show and decided to put a spin on it.

” the Fannypack ( gucci ) “

Carrie Bradshaw inspired outfit

I can still remember the episode when she wore the infamous fanny pack.  She visited Aiden at his bar ( that he owned with Steve ) and there she caught him flirting with one of the bartenders.  This was the second time they got together after Carrie cheated on him with Mr. Big.  Aiden was trying to get back at her for what she did.  Anyway, the moment she walked in with the orange striped skirt and the fanny pack, I wanted to buy that bag for myself. I love love that outfit. It was so effortlessly cool.

*For my outfit I used a high waisted pencil skirt from http://www.TopShop.com since I really do not have the abs to match her outfit.  I chose strappy heels from Proenza Schouler that I purchased in ’08 from http://www.Barneys.com to add a bit of sporty twist to it.

” The Tulle “

Can you recognize this scene?  Carrie in Paris.  Where for the first time in history Mr. Big finally told her she was the ONE. ( also, this was the scene where she realized that she made a mistake with  Alexander Petrovsky and he accidentally slapped her ).

Carrie Bradshaw Paris Ballerina outfit

I loved the Tulle skirt but I do not or would feel too comfortable with the material.  So for this outfit I decided to wear an A line skirt of the same color as hers, except its made out of Cotton.  I also decided to wear a longer style coat, unlike her blazer.

” Off the shoulders “

This was the last episode of the 1st season where Carrie and Big supposedly about to go on vacation together.  She had a moment where she asked Big if He could see her as being ” the One. ” Well If you saw this then you would know that this was the 1st breakup they ever had of so many.

Carrie BRadshaw Inspired outfit

The biggest thing that stands out from all of Carrie’s outfits, her shoes.  With this outfit I decided to wear my yellow Louboutins against the black and white.  She always makes sure that her shoes is the center of her outfits.

skirt: Ann Taylor ( actually got this from my mom-in-law’s closet. This was her skirt in the 90s )

top: Topshop

heels: Christian Louboutin

clutch: Vintage Gucci

” Oscar de la Renta “

This dress was perfection.  If I had couple grand with me when I first saw this episode, I would have bought this dress.  This was the perfect pink dress.  I have to give some points to Mr. Petrovsky for giving her this.

Carrie Bradshaw Sex and the City Pink Dress

I was at Topshop couple nights ago and I actually saw this dress on their prom section.  Its as perfect as hers but with lesser price tag.

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did making it.  This made me miss Sex and the City more.  Thank you Patricia Field ( Stylist of the show ) for all the amazing and beautiful outfits you have made for Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte.  She truly is the reason why the show got the best style.  So girls, have fun and dress for you.
