Cannon Beach
If you grew up in the 80’s I know you’ve seen the movie ” Goonies “. That was one of my favorite movies of all time. I was 8 yrs old when I saw it and I wanted to be one of the Goonies. Adventure, romance, action and cute Sean Astin. I loved that movie. The reason we came to Cannon Beach was because of that movie. This beach was in the intro scene and ever since then I have always wanted to visit this place. We had a week off last march and we did a road trip from LA to Oregon. Our last stop of our Pacific Coast road trip was this gorgeous beach.

The City of Cannon Beach is located on the Pacific Northwest Coast of Oregon, 80 miles west of Portland and 25 miles south of Astoria. Cannon Beach is surrounded by the rugged natural beauty of forests, ocean beaches, rivers, and the Oregon Coast Mountain range.

Our doggie, D. We make it a priority to bring him as much to all our road trips. He loves the beach.
Ecola State Park
Ecola State Park, located off Highway 101, north of Cannon Beach, offers some of the most breathtaking and exquisite views to be found on the Oregon Coast.
This state park has been used in a lot of movies as well. This beach alone by Ecola State Park is where Point Break ( last scene with Keanu and Patrick Swayze ) , Twilight ( La Push beach ) and Goonies ( The Restaurant Cabin was built just for the movie ) were filmed. I see something I loved in movies and I want to see it in real life.
No one was there so we let him off leash so he can run around the beach.
Sunset:
Our favorite time of day. Enjoy every sunset and always look forward to all sunrises.
